I've been teaching myself wire wrapping with my glass work. I wanted to go with something that had some askew swirls and was glad that it hangs properly.
All glass is hand cut and shaped by me and is fired in my kiln at 1500 degrees to get this wonderful shape. All my pieces are properly annealed for durability. This center piece is 100% glass not paint or paper on glass.
how do you teach yourself such awesome things and make it look like you've done it forever
I know I don't always comment on each of your pieces but I hope you knwo I think they're all amazing, fantastic, beautiful, and totally trademark of your style
I think I'm fall under the category of too stubborn to give up when I get something in my head. I have a good half foot of wasted wire from practicing sitting in a ball of frustration on my work desk lol.
I have a quick question C: With your glass, is there any probability of making a whole glass sphere/marble and having it dangle? I think that would look cool if you had spherical jewelry with wire either hugging it or caging around it, y'know?
I can't make like an actual marble since the bottoms are always flat, but I AM working on a lil' secret something that I hope works which would give it an almost sphere look. If my experiment works ^_^
^o^ if it works, I would love to see it! I have an original character who always wears a very rich, dark red marble about the size of an eyeball... but that thing has been ever illusive and practically unsearchable. /sigh. I was hoping one day to ask you if you ever do glass commissions ;_;

I know that some lamp workers make marbles. I melt in a kiln so all my pieces are flat.
