This is a second view to show the shift in color for the center piece of this necklace:
Brand new necklace I was hinting at in my blog that is a fusion of my fused glass work and metal work. I created the base of this necklace with a piece of plain 18 gauge brass which gives it a fantastic weight and feel. The calligraphy style fox design that is now a raised part of the brass is my original drawing making this necklace unique to my shop. I also hand antiqued the brass to get the rich warm color. The center piece I designed and fused myself from a piece of dichroic glass to mimic the rich colors that are found in the eye of a fox.
All glass is hand cut and shaped by me and is fired in my kiln at 1500 degrees to get this wonderful shape. All my pieces are properly annealed for durability. The center piece is 100% glass not paint or paper on glass.
Stunning! If you do one of a domestic cat or a tiger...I will be snapping it up quick smart. Although big cats have round pupils so I'm not sure if it would turn out as striking.
I was thinking of doing a cat one with a yellow gold glass. It's a shame that big cats just have the rounded pupils. A floating dot is not very interesting, Lol xD
