All glass is hand cut and shaped by me and is fired in my kiln at 1500 degrees to get this wonderful shape. All my pieces are properly annealed for durability.
I've only started making these, but they have been going over so well that I think trying to make one in purple would be a great idea. I do have one in white with a bubbled look to the glass that is nearly done.
Stuck with it as in unable to sell it? Or as in that's all people would then expect of you? If it's the latter, I think you've got such a wonderful gallery and set of examples to date that no one will see one or two seasonal pieces as overshadowing all your earlier hard work. If it's the former, eh, I'll bet it would sell.
The market just gets so flooded with ornaments during the holiday season I get fearful to keep them for over a year. I've got family members though that are demanding ornaments next year so I'll probably start a few in september.
Perhaps try a few on a "Christmas in July" type theme/sale and if they don't sell, plan to use them as gifts for the family. If they do sell, hooray, and make more to give as gifts and sell again.
I like the blue version better than the pink.
And thank you very much!
I am not a big fan of making seasonal things, since I fear getting stuck with them. I have different family members trying to break me of this fear xD
